This mom says no more…

I despise homework. Not just homework I used to have in general, but my child’s homework. I did not like homework growing up, and I most definitely hate it even more as a parent. Yes, I said hate. Because I’m ok with homework dying and never returning. Homework is not just work for the child…

Stressing while dressing

I don’t get stressed out very easily. And for the most part I usually am pretty confident. However, there is one part of my day, every day that stresses me out and lowers my self esteem. It’s getting dressed in the morning for work or church. Most of the time on Saturdays, I don’t have…

Never too far gone…

Yesterday my husband taught the Sunday School lesson. Seriously there is no prouder moment for me as a wife than seeing my husband preach the word of God as eloquent as he does. His voice is strong and it carries across the room. His posture is always upright, and I already think he’s incredibly good…

Going on 17 years…

I’ve been a Patriots fan since 2000, when I first really learned about football. I remember I would play NFL blitz on my ps one and I learned so much about football. Patriots were my team. I’d always win when I played them. Then in 2001 when they went to the Super Bowl and won,…

Missing the memo

So the big march is happening today. It’s pretty incredible to see a lot of people all over join together for something their passionate about and be mostly peaceful. I’m just one of the rare amount of people that don’t really understand what results they are expecting from it? Maybe I missed the memo but…

Blogger blogging about other bloggers’ blogs.

Is this thing on? I don’t write because I expect anyone to actually read them. I would totally love for people to read my posts. But I write because it’s relaxing for me. I love getting lost in writing and sometimes I learn more about myself when I am writing. But I’ve noticed I’ve hardly…

Busy Bee, busy me…

I’m one of those people who love to be busy. I honestly feel like a part of me is dying if I don’t have anything to do. It sometimes can depress me. I’m weird like that. You know what my favorite type of work is? I love working in the restaurant industry! I’m one of…

Management styles

One thing I do not understand in a supervisor is when they use the method of fear to manage. My current supervisors are great, and I’m blessed for that, but in past jobs, it’s been a nightmare. The managers that use fear or the ones that just don’t care about the job period are my…

Almost normal

I had my gallbladder surgery almost two weeks ago. Today I was finally able to drive without it hurting! I tried walking the dog, (she is so large it’s mainly her walking me) but that still hurt.  I’m almost back to normal. You don’t realize how much you use your core until you get surgery…

When it rains, it pours. Literally.

What a night!! A tornado warning, so we spent most of our evening in the bath tub. I always wondered how this bath tub and a mattress is supposed to help when 60mph winds roar by but whatever. Meanwhile our roof starts leaking. So that’s been fun. I’m exhausted and ready for bed.

A day closer to my goal.

It’s 11:56 pm but I haven’t fallen asleep yet. So even if this post goes past midnight, I still did not fail my second day of my promise to myself. Remember how yesterday I said this big speech about writing at least one sentence each day? I almost missed the second day. Which quite honestly,…

One Sentence.

It has come to my attention that I have not been doing a very good job at keeping up with this thing. After reading a few chapters of Craig Groeschel’s newest book Divine Direction, he gave the bright idea to make sure he writes more, he challenged himself to write at least one sentence each…
